NSW Water-to-Water

The wide range of operating temperatures, compact size, reversible control box and piping enable the NSW hydronic heat pump to be used in a variety of applications. These include pool/spa heating, radiant floor, snow melt, aquaculture, and process water installations. NSW units can be used for heating only, cooling only (field converted for chilled water applications), or heating/cooling.

A sophisticated microprocessor controls the pumps and compressor by sampling the entering water temperature. The controller enables the user to view all modes of operation and easily adjust temperatures. All fault conditions are monitored by the controller to ensure safe, reliable operation. The NSW cabinet is fabricated from heavy-gauge steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant polyester coating to provide years of durability and beauty. Scroll compressors, R-410A refrigerant, and oversized heat exchangers combine to provide the user with exceptional energy savings.

Radiant Floor Heat

An in-floor radiant heating system operates by circulating warm water through a series of pipes embedded in the floor. Acting as a giant radiator, the floor generates warmth to bodies and furnishings without those hot blasts of air commonly associated with gas, propane and oil furnaces. Your feet and furnishings stay warm through conductive heat, while the air passing over the warm floor provides additional convective heat. The warmth of radiant heat provides superior comfort. Because the piping system is encased in the floor, furniture can be arranged however you choose without concern for blocking register vents. Other radiant heat applications requiring hot water, including wall- or floor-mounted radiators, may also be used.

 

Domestic Water Heating

Systems can be designed to generate an abundant supply of hot water, created efficiently without the need of fossil fuels. Whether it's for a residential or commercial application, the NSW Series Water-to-Water unit can keep you in hot water.

 

Pool and Spa Heating

With efficiencies three times that of conventional pool heaters, the system can reduce water heating costs for pools dramatically. Owners of outdoor pools in colder climates can now affordably extend the swimming season with an abundant supply of clean, efficiently-heated water.

 

Snow and Ice Melt

Using a series of pipes embedded in a sidewalk, driveway, or patio, warm water is delivered to the area to keep the surface safe-free of snow, ice and moisture.

 

Fan-Coil Systems

Some applications incorporate the use of fan-coil units where hot or cold water is passed through a water coil in an air handler to supply conditioned comfort. The NSW Water-to-Water unit delivers the right temperatures of water to heat, cool and dehumidify.

 

Environmental standards for refrigerants are becoming more stringent.
